A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam GidwitzWhat did I like best about this book?
I like this book mainly because of the amount of sarcasm the author puts in the story, while still making it suspenseful and easy to read along. The characters and settings are very fascinating. Summary: Two siblings, Hansel and Gretel walk out into the wild - where they face witches, warlocks, dragons and even the devil himself. The book is very frightening, and certainly bloody. But these stories originate from the Brothers Grimm. This book is a compilation of suspenseful, grim, and ghastly fairy tale stories. Sensitive Material: There is a limited amount of gore, but the author intended it for teens. Recommended by Cynthia T. |

I Am Legend by Richard MathesonWhat did I like best about this book?
The main character goes through so much psychological torment throughout the story and it makes the story extremely depressing. And in a lot of tension and it becomes extremely terrifying. Summary: Robert Neville is a man with a short fuse and a alcoholic. Ofcourse it's not very surprising when the entire world is infected with a virus that change them into blood sucking vampires. The tension and sense of being trapped make this story a truly terrifying experience of a psychologically tormented man. He is the last man on earth... Or is he? Sensitive Material: The story is very dark and depressing in points of a story. For readers who don't want to read a story of a killer (vampire killer) do not read. Also people who have a depression problem not to read. Recommended by Marvin A. |
