And Then There Were None - Agatha ChristieWhat did I like best about this book?
Ooh where do I begin? The suspense in the book was so amazing. It is like I think I have solved the mystery and bam I was wrong. The author keeps you guessing to the end. The characters are so funny, timid and a great group of people to read about. They are all so different that you just fall in love with them. Summary: They were 10 people all from different places and they were invited for different reasons. Some of them thought they were there for work while others thought they were there for vacation. However no matter how different they are they all have one thing in common: they do not know who their host/hostess is. And then to make things worst people started dying and worst of all; the killer is one of them. Sensitive Material: None. Well except the whole killing part. Recommended by Zainab A. |

Pride and Prejudice by Jane AustenWhat did I like best about this book?
The plot is very ahead of its time and is very pro-feminist. It was published in the 1900s but is written as if it was from the 2000s. Summary: Lizzy is of a family of only girls and they all want to get married but she doesn't. Elizabeth feels that she will not find a man who thinks of her first out of her sisters. Her mother wants to set her up with a rich guy, but she is very much against it. Sensitive Material: No sensitive matter. Recommended by Melanie R. |

King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table By Roger Lancelyn GreenWhat did I like best about this book?
I like how this book showed so much adventure. It doesn't bore me with rambling all the time and has a fantasy setting that I could enjoy. I find the world of the book and the many adventures to just be interesting. Summary: King Arthur is born to be King. One day he proved himself to be the next King of Camelot after pulling a sword, that can only be released by a true King, from a stone. Since then, he formed the Knights of the Round Table and goes on many adventures with his men. Sensitive Material: There were a few scenes implying the character are sleeping with each other. I like the dark tone writing and setting of the book. And I really liked the story of how it shows we won't have freedom anymore and the government will control every thing. Summary: Big Brother sees all and controls all. A man living in this very controlling government and trying to avoid being brainwashed by it. Sensitive Material: None. Recommended by Ivy T. |

Farenheit 451 by Ray BradburyWhat did I like best about this book?
I liked the suspense about the book and how the author used a lot of sensory and imagery. That made the book more interesting. Summary: The book is about a fireman that burns books because books are illegal. Instead of putting out the fires, these firemen make fires. The book takes place in the future which is why they are burning books. Montag ends up refusing to burn the books and stores them. He will have to go through this and stay alive.
